In this issue we’re celebrating the diversity of Australian country living from the city fringes to the outback. We start in central Queensland where Ingrid and Paul Hatton run Santa Gertrudis on Dareen station. Heading south, we take in another historic property in Stephen and Taya Michaski’s Diamondvale homestead on the outskirts of Stanthorpe and on into NSW where celebrated author Nicole Alexander lives and runs cattle on the Moree Plains. We also visit artist Heather Cohen in the charming cottage she has restored in Glen Innes on the New England Tablelands. Next stop is Godolphin at Guyong in the NSW central tablelands where Tony Gordon represents the sixth generation of his family to run the historic property that was established in 1851. Tony and his partner, Christine Williams, run sheep and cattle on the farm and also offer accommodation in a Georgian stables and former dairy on the property. Heading to South Australia, we tour the amazing garden rose enthusiasts Walter and Kay Duncan have created near Sevenhill in the Clare Valley. Our travel feature takes in the Great Ocean Road and a multi-day to fully experience this spectacular part of the world. There’s design inspiration on every page and a special feature on keeping warm during winter.
