In this issue we introduce Tim and Louise Thorpe who live with their horses and a vintage caravan called Lottie in the Perth Hills. We head over the NSW Blue Mountains to Brewongle where fashionista Emily Anderson calls time out at her weekender on her family’s farm. Still in NSW we visit the Upper Hunter to meet former model and TV journalist Patrice Newell who has swapped the bright lights for the earthy delights of organically farmed garlic. Our recipe feature also celebrates the bulb and its pivotal role in the contemporary kitchen … we’re sure you will fall in love with our roasted garlic bruschetta. We also travel to the rural fringe of Brisbane and catch up with Shannon Yeardley, the driving force behind the charity, The Flower Project, which gives wonderful bouquets and much-needed boosts to care-givers. On the quirky side, we meet a cool snowdome collector and children’s book illustrator Colin Thompson. Stylist Sandra Hinton shares tips on setting the scene for a pink brunch (don’t forget October is breast cancer awareness month) and she’s also searched out the latest and most eye-catching accessories for outdoor entertaining.
